The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced two actions to help students and their families as part of the 2026 governance plan.
The first action is a pilot program that will provide free breakfasts in kindergartens, starting in Larnaca and Free Famagusta. The President said this measure aims to support families and promote healthy eating habits in young children.
The second action fulfills a pre-election promise to add social workers in primary and secondary schools. This year, the program is being tested with social workers and educational psychologists to reduce violence and delinquency while boosting children’s mental resilience.
