Today, a stunning artistic program was showcased at the Cyprus Theatre Organization (THOC) building. This was part of the official opening ceremony for the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The artistic segment took center stage, emphasizing culture as a vital tool for expression, memory, and unity.
The impressive program, directed by Kostas Silvestros, offered a complete stage experience. It blended music, theater, dance, poetry, and modern audiovisual media. The performance aimed to capture Cyprus’s timeless journey and its collective memory while looking ahead to a future tied to its European identity.
The performance, titled “Memory – Present – Future”, unfolded in three distinct acts. Each act showcased different parts of Cypriot identity. The music connected the stage images, creating emotional highs and delivering a powerful experience to the audience.
