AEL is chasing a return to winning ways in the play-out opener on Sunday (16:00) against Ethnikos at the “Alphamega” stadium. In terms of the standings, the “Yellow and Blues” want the three points, not so much because Ethnikos will catch up to them, but to prevent other teams fighting to avoid relegation from… closing the gap.
Another obvious reason they want to “record” a win again is to combat the climate of introspection and tension created after the consecutive negative results.
