Evthymios Diplaros, the Deputy President of the Democratic Rally (DISY), announced that party bodies will meet once there is official news about Paphos Mayor, Phaedon Phaedonos.
He stressed that the leadership won’t compromise on principles and highlighted the need for quick transparency. Diplaros also explained why the response was quicker this time compared to past cases, like Mr. Syka’s, noting it was faster because of his role in the parliamentary election ballot.
Meanwhile, Evthymios Diplaros criticized the Legal Service and the Police for their slow pace. He pointed out that delays in these investigations can lead to “people’s courts” and cause character attacks on social media. The case is still under investigation, while DISY’s leadership insists they will follow all institutional and legal frameworks without straying from the party’s principles.
