During the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union in early 2026, the documentary “Varosha, the Enclosed City of Europe” will be shown on February 4 in Seville, Spain.
The Varosha International Initiative says this screening is part of a bigger program from February 2 to 6. This program includes photography and art exhibitions about Cyprus, plus a special evening with Cypriot food and wines.
The events are backed by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Seville. They aim to highlight Cypriot history, culture, and shared memories for European officials and local residents.
After the documentary, there will be a panel discussion featuring producer Toni Toumazis. Many high-level diplomats and European officials are expected to attend.
