The police in Limassol are looking into a serious robbery involving a 77-year-old woman. This happened early Tuesday morning (3/3).
At around 1:30 a.m., authorities got a call about an injured woman at her home. When police arrived, they found the elderly woman at her front door with a head injury. She reported that while she was sleeping, there were two power outages. She went outside to check the electrical panel. When she came back inside for the second time, she saw her bedroom in disarray, and soon after, an unknown man appeared.
She said the man hit her on the head and stole two gold chains she was wearing, along with her mobile phone, before running away. The 77-year-old was taken by ambulance to a private hospital in the city. Doctors found she had a cut and some abrasions. She was kept for observation but is now considered out of danger. The Limassol CID is still investigating to find the thief and solve the case.
