The Ministry of Education is modernizing its processes. This year, they are using the eDEA electronic system for pre-registrations and transfers of first-grade students in Gymnasiums, Lyceums, and Technical Schools for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Parents and guardians should quickly create a CY Login account. They need to enter their details and their children’s details into the eDEA system. If these steps aren’t completed, they can’t submit a pre-registration or transfer application.
Applications for first grade in Public Gymnasiums will be accepted from February 5 to February 15, 2026. For Lyceums and Technical Schools, the dates are from February 16 to February 27. Transfer periods will take place in March with strict deadlines. Late submissions won’t be accepted.
The Ministry says schools will review applications. They will notify parents through the system about approvals or if more information is needed. School choice is based on educational districts. For Technical Schools, parents can choose according to the guidelines.
Electronic pre-registration is required for all first-grade students, no matter their nationality or residency status. This is essential for a smooth start to the 2026-2027 school year.
