An unforgettable experience was lived by the representatives of Cyprus at the Junior Eurovision in Tbilisi, although their position did not fully reflect their talent. Rafaela and Christos gave their best performance, competing among 17 countries, leaving their mark on stage and earning the audience’s applause.
The 23rd Junior Eurovision Song Contest concluded with an evening full of suspense until the results were announced. This year’s contest included 17 countries, with participants evaluated by a combination of 50% online public voting and 50% national jury votes.
France emerged victorious with Lou Deleuze’s song «Ce Monde», gathering 248 points, while Ukraine and Georgia followed in second and third place respectively.
The young French singer and actress Lou Deleuze began her career at a very young age and became particularly known for her participation in the series Got Talent 2024 on France’s national television network. In her acting career, she has appeared in the film The Green Perfume and the TV series Léo Mattéï, Brigade des Mineurs. Lou Deleuze was internally selected to represent France at the Junior Eurovision 2025 in Tbilisi with the song <«Ce monde». She won first place, collecting 248 points, giving France its fourth victory in the contest.
Cypress, with Rafaela and Christos, secured the <16th place<gathering 50 points. Despite their ranking, their participation was a significant experience, proving that in Junior Eurovision, stage presence, courage, and love for music matter. The two children representing Cyprus were selected from among 70 candidates through an audition process. This is the first duet Cyprus has sent to the contest since 2008. Their piece was characterized by a modern pop sound.
