On World Forest Day, celebrated on March 21, Exinity and the Andrey & Julia Dashin’s Foundation reaffirm their commitment to a sustainable environment. They support ECOmbare, an initiative focused on restoring Cyprus’s forests.
The Foundation was the first supporter of ECOmbare. They played a key role in the early days, providing funding and helping with the first project. This project was the “Back to the Roots” festival in Arakapas village, held in October 2024. Supporting new ideas from the start is vital. It helps test and develop solutions that have a positive impact. For ECOmbare, this initial backing led to more collaborations, inspiring others to join in for a shared environmental goal.
A big moment in this journey was the corporate beach volleyball tournament “Restore Forest.” It took place in late November 2025 at Limassol’s Municipal Beach Sports Center. Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis and President of Limassol District Administration Yiannis Tsoulouftas attended. They highlighted the importance of working together for our environment. The event united companies, athletes, volunteers, and local authorities around one mission: restoring Cyprus’s forests, which face threats like last summer’s fires.
The tournament was more than just a game. It launched an amazing environmental effort. Twelve corporate teams joined the friendly 4×4 tournament, showing Cypriot businesses’ growing commitment to meaningful sustainability actions. The funds raised allowed for planting 140 trees along a trail near Saint Elizabeth’s Church in Agios Amvrosios. This helped revive burned areas using innovative Groasis Waterboxx technology. Over 200 enthusiastic volunteers joined in, eager to learn and help out. Exinity’s management team and their families also participated, planting 30 Waterboxx units alongside volunteers to show their commitment to a greener future.
