A tree in a parking lot suddenly broke off and crushed a parked car. The fall damaged the roof and body of the vehicle.
A video from RoadReportCY shows that the incident happened around 06:00. A large tree snapped and fell in a parking area near the Marina. It landed right on a parked car, causing clear damage to its roof and body.
Images from the scene show heavy branches and the trunk crushing the car, with debris scattered around. The impact seriously affected the top of the vehicle, as the tree fell from the nearby road. No one was inside the car at the time, and there are no reports of injuries.
The authorities were notified, and municipal services were expected to come for tree removal and cleanup.
In the past, trees have fallen on moving vehicles in Limassol, and infrastructure has been damaged along Limassol’s coastal road. Part of a light fixture was seen hanging over traffic.
