Agricultural groups from all districts will protest in Nicosia tomorrow, Thursday, December 18. They will march to the Presidential Palace and the House of Europe.
The protest will likely cause heavy traffic in the city center. Expect more agricultural vehicles from early morning. Organizers say protesters from all districts will meet at the GSP Stadium parking area and the “JUMBO” store in Nicosia. They plan to start marching around 10:30 a.m. They will head to the Presidential Palace to deliver a resolution and then go to the House of Europe on Lord Byron Street, where they will stay until their demands are met.
While marching to the Presidential Palace, they will go through Iosif Hadjiosif, Athalassa, and Presidential Palace avenues. To reach the House of Europe, they will take Dimostheni Severi and Lord Byron avenues. This event is expected to disrupt traffic in central Nicosia, with more agricultural vehicles on intercity roads heading to Nicosia from early morning.
The Police will implement security measures and traffic arrangements to ensure the event runs smoothly and help the public. Officers will be present at the protest sites.
