Nicosia authorities were on high alert on Monday afternoon, February 9, after a serious incident injured a 21-year-old.
Police say a young man and his friend met five others to settle some money issues. During the talk, things got heated and an argument broke out. In the chaos, one person reportedly attacked the 21-year-old, injuring his neck with a sharp object. Another person was also hurt, getting hit on the nose.
The injured were taken to Nicosia General Hospital. The 21-year-old had surgery and is still hospitalized. His condition is stable and not life-threatening. The Nicosia CID is treating this as attempted murder, and they are continuing to investigate the situation.
