A member of the Fire Service safely took a dog to safety after a fire broke out in a two-story apartment building in Larnaca today.
The quick action helped protect the animal and shows how we should care for all living beings. The fire caused serious damage to the apartment and led to smoke inhalation for a total of eight people, including a small child. They were taken to the Larnaca General Hospital’s Emergency Department for breathing issues. Fire Service Spokesman Andreas Kettis said the fire was likely caused by an electrical issue with a light fixture. Firefighters put it out using water hoses and breathing gear.
