After a stir from a video on “X”, former Energy Minister George Lakkotrypis said the footage is edited and misrepresents discussions to hurt his image and that of the President.
George Lakkotrypis explains that the video shows talks with supposed investors about funding the President’s election campaign. He insists it’s edited and takes his words out of context. He notes this leak happened just after the Cypriot Presidency of the EU Council was inaugurated, aiming to damage the country, the President, and him personally.
Mr. Lakkotrypis has already reported this to the Nicosia CID and shared all he knows.
