The Navy announced the departure of the frigate ‘Kimon’ from Limassol port on social media, along with a video.
‘Kimon’ arrived in Cyprus with the frigate ‘Psara’ to boost the country’s defense and air protection.
This frigate has modern air defense systems, mainly Sea Fire radars, and is great for anti-submarine warfare.
It carries Aster-30 anti-aircraft missiles on A50 launchers, Exocet MM40 Block 3C surface missiles, MU90 torpedoes, RAM missiles, an Oto Melara 76mm gun, and two remote-controlled Lionfish 20mm machine guns.
