German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul delivered a clear message of support during his visit to Nicosia. ‘If Cyprus truly needs us, we will be there,’ he declared after meeting Constantinos Kombos.
The Cypriot FM stressed Europe must play an active role in de-escalation. ‘Cyprus is part of the answers, not part of any problem,’ Kombos said.
The visit comes amid growing security concerns in the Eastern Mediterranean.
