The Greek frigate “Kimon” is off the coast of Limassol, boosting Greece’s presence in the Eastern Mediterranean after recent events.
The Kimon, a Belharra (FDI) type, is working in the maritime area of Cyprus. This is part of the ongoing defense cooperation between Nicosia and Athens. The mission was organized by President Nikos Christodoulides and Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis. “Kimon” arrived after the frigate Psara, with both ships now in the same area during a time of high alert. Their presence in Cypriot waters boosts security and shows readiness to the wider region.
