Grigoris Kastanos officially became a ‘brigadier’ late last night. The loan agreement for the Cypriot midfielder from Hellas Verona was announced.

They decided to welcome the 28-year-old star with a fun caricature.

The announcement:

“Aris Limassol announces the transfer of 28-year-old Cypriot international Grigoris Kastanos from Hellas Verona on loan until the end of the season.

Grigoris Kastanos started his football journey at Onisilos Sotiras, his hometown club, before moving to ENP Paralimni. His talent caught the eye of Juventus when he was just 16 years old, and they brought him into their youth academy.

In January 2017, during the 2016–17 season, he was loaned to Pescara. Just days later, he made his Serie A debut at 19. The next season, he spent six months on loan at Zulte Waregem in Belgium, and then returned to join Juventus U23.

In the 2018–19 season, he debuted with Juventus’ first team in a league match. He then went on two more loans: first to Pescara in the 2019–20 season and then to Frosinone in the 2020–21 season.

In summer 2021, he joined Salernitana, initially on loan and then permanently. He stayed with the Italian team until summer 2024 when he moved to Hellas Verona.

This season, he has made eight appearances in league and cup competitions.

Overall, Grigoris Kastanos has played 123 matches in Serie A, scoring seven goals and making nine assists.

On the international stage, Kastanos has been part of the Cyprus National Team since 2015. He has made 76 appearances and scored eight goals so far.

Aris Limassol welcomes Grigoris Kastanos to the family and wishes him great success wearing our team’s jersey”.
