Gustavo Assunção is now officially a player for Apollon.

“Apollon Football Company (Public) Ltd announces that they have signed Gustavo Assunção from AVS Futebol SAD. He will be with us until May 2027, with an option to extend for another season.
Gustavo Assunção was born on March 30, 2000, in São Paulo, Brazil. He plays as a defensive midfielder.
In the summer of 2019, he signed his first professional contract with Famalicão. He played there for five years and was a key player. He made 129 appearances for the Portuguese club, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
During the 2021-22 season, he was on loan at Galatasaray, where he made two appearances in the Turkish league. In the summer of 2024, he joined AVS and has since made 38 appearances, scoring four goals.
The Brazilian midfielder has also represented Brazil’s U17 and U23 national teams.
