The Ministry of Health is calling on healthy volunteers to donate blood. They say, “the need for blood is high, but fewer people are donating, mainly because of seasonal viruses.”
They also mention that “many patients still need blood and blood products (like red blood cells, plasma, and platelets) for treatments, surgeries, and other medical needs.”
So, the Ministry encourages healthy volunteers to take some time and visit the nearest blood donation centers.

In Nicosia District, you can donate at the Engomi Health Center (Monday-Friday 07:30-20:00, Saturday 08:00-14:00 – Tel.: 22809098) and in Geri (Friday 07:30-20:00, Saturday 09:00-15:00 – Tel.: 22309222, 22309221). In Limassol District, visit the Old Hospital (Monday-Friday 07:30-20:00) or the Church Hall of St. George Havouzas (Saturday 14:00-17:00 – Tel.: 25730276, 25730277). In Larnaca District, go to Larnaca General Hospital (Friday 07:30-15:00) or Alethriko Elementary School (18:00-20:00 – Tel.: 24800555). In Paphos District, you can donate at the Blood Donation Station (Royal Business Center) or AA Power Mode Gym (next to the Electricity Authority building – Today until 20:00, Saturday 09:30-12:00 – Tel.: 26306409). In Famagusta District, it’s located in Paralimni (Sotiras 2 – Today until 20:00 – Tel.: 23812121, 23812122).
