Heavy rain caused major issues on the Kampou–Orkonda road. This led to landslides of soil and rocks in several spots.
Because of this, one lane is closed. Vehicles are being directed through the other lane under controlled conditions.
Cleanup crews are working with the Police to clear debris and make the road safe again.
Authorities warn that similar problems could happen on other roads in hilly areas, making travel risky.
Drivers should go slow, keep safe distances, and use headlights, especially when visibility is low.
