Hernán Losada had an important interview with Argentine media. He talked about his goals as the coach of Apollon Limassol and his future with the team.
At first, he said:
“When we arrived, the team had four wins, three draws, and five losses. Our goal was to move up the rankings and get into the top six. Now we are in second place, six points behind first and nine ahead of sixth. Apollon Limassol is a big club with a rich history—four-time champions, last in 2022—with amazing fans, a great stadium, and excellent facilities. It has everything needed to succeed. You want to be at one of the biggest clubs to achieve better results and show your worth in European competitions based on your league performance.”
About staying in Cyprus if they reach their goal:
“There’s an option for another year, and right now, I’m very happy in Cyprus. We hope to end the season with a spot in a UEFA competition because that would be a big step forward. Even though we’ve only been here for two and a half months, I plan to stay longer. Building the team and preparing is different from just coming in and playing right away. But we faced the challenge of feeling capable in tough situations and making an immediate impact on a team you haven’t shaped yourself.”
