Police were out in full force overnight across Cyprus. This was part of planned operations to stop crime and keep everyone safe.

During these operations, two people were arrested. One was in Limassol for extortion and theft. The other was in the Famagusta district for domestic violence.

Officers checked 227 vehicles and 297 people, along with inspecting 29 locations.

Traffic checks found 64 violations, with 45 for speeding. Ten more traffic offenses are being looked into, and nine vehicles were taken away.

The police say these operations will keep happening every day to fight crime and maintain public order.
