Nikola Ioannou’s move to Pafos is almost done.
The ‘blue and whites’ have agreed with both the player and Sampdoria. Only the contract signing is left to finish the deal.
Reports from Italy say the offer from the Cypriot team is very good. Ioannou has accepted a long-term contract that lasts until June 30, 2028. The deal also has an option to extend for another year, until 2029, showing how important he will be for the team.
Even though the player and his new club have fully agreed, some admin details still need sorting out between Sampdoria and Pafos about how to pay for Ioannou’s transfer.
The international star’s wish to return to Cyprus was key in finalizing the deal. This allows Sampdoria to gain a good amount of money that they will invest right away in the market.
