During an anti-drug operation in Larnaca, police arrested a 34-year-old man in a narcotics case, while a second man, aged 31, was detained on an outstanding court warrant.
The 34-year-old was stopped shortly before midnight on a city road. Officers found 359 grams of cocaine and 2 grams of cannabis resin in his possession.
Police also seized two precision scales, two mobile phones and €1,115 in cash, all of which were taken as evidence.
Minutes later, a 31-year-old was checked at the same location. A records check showed he was wanted under a warrant linked to theft and malicious damage in Nicosia.
The Larnaca District Court approved an eight-day detention order for the 34-year-old suspect, while investigations continue.
