An unbelievable incident happened last night in Kiti, Larnaca. A 38-year-old man stabbed a 35-year-old man and then drove him to Larnaca General Hospital.
According to early reports, Kiti Police Station and Community Policing responded around 20:00 to a call about blood stains on a sidewalk in a parking area. Soon after, Larnaca General Hospital informed the authorities that a 35-year-old man had been admitted with injuries from a sharp object.
The injured man has a wound on his left shin, a deep cut on his right shoulder blade, and injuries on his right arm. His health is serious but not life-threatening, and he is in the surgical department of the hospital. While investigating the scene, police found a suspicious vehicle that transported the injured man to the hospital. This vehicle was stopped for inspection. It was driven by a 38-year-old man with a 41-year-old woman as a passenger.
The 38-year-old confessed to stabbing the 35-year-old with a knife. It was also found that he is living illegally in the Republic of Cyprus and was arrested for illegal stay. A court warrant was issued, and he was detained for further investigation. A knife was collected at the scene as evidence, and the vehicle driven by the suspect belonged to the victim and was used to take him to the hospital. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the case.
