A 40-year-old man from Limassol district was detained on Wednesday night as part of a YKAN investigation into illegal drug possession.
At around 18:45, YKAN officers arrived at his residence with a court search warrant. Police said he refused to open the door and was seen through an open window moving toward the back of the house.
Officers entered and found him in the bathroom above the toilet bowl, where about 4 grams of cannabis were located. A further search uncovered another roughly 6 grams of cannabis, a small quantity of a white substance resembling cocaine, and a precision electronic scale with drug traces.
Police also searched an adjacent house belonging to a relative and found about 44 grams of cocaine. The suspect reportedly told officers that the quantity was his. The investigation is ongoing.
