Images from a coastal road in Limassol have raised big concerns. Two foreign workers were found sleeping without safety measures in the bed of a moving truck.
The video, filmed from a passing vehicle and shared on social media two days ago (though RoadReportCY says it was recorded months ago), shows the men sleeping in the truck’s bed. One had a pillow and blanket, fully exposed to serious danger.
This incident happened in broad daylight and shows a worrying lack of basic road safety. The workers were transported in the open loading area without any protective measures, which is illegal and very dangerous.
Road safety groups and advocates are deeply concerned. They point out that such actions put not only the workers at risk but also other road users. “This is a clear example of negligence that could have tragic consequences,” they stress.
