The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) recently seized a large amount of drugs in Limassol. This brings attention back to the serious issue of illegal drug trafficking in Cyprus.
Yesterday, after checking some tips, agents found a cardboard box in a courier company’s storage. It contained 2.57 kg of cocaine and 9.325 kg of cannabis. Two men, aged 27 and 18, were arrested, and the evidence is leading to more investigations.
The DEA is continuing its work, stressing that prevention and awareness are key to solving this issue. It’s not just a police problem; it affects all of society. This action shows how important it is to confront drug trafficking directly, especially to protect our young and vulnerable citizens.
