Yesterday, eight reports of undeclared work came to light during a joint operation in Limassol. This was carried out by the Limassol Police, along with officials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance and the Tax Department.
In total, 15 establishments were checked, leading to administrative fines of €26,800. There were also five reports for running businesses without the necessary licenses and two for not issuing receipts.
During the inspections, three people were arrested for illegal stay in Cyprus. Additionally, three more arrests were made in two cases of illegal employment. Authorities say inspections to tackle these issues will keep going.
