Preparations are in full swing in Limassol for the big carnival parade on Sunday, February 22, 2026. This event is set to be the highlight of the year. Final touches are being made to the floats, group rehearsals, and musical arrangements. The city is ready for an amazing show filled with laughter, satire, and creativity.
The parade will have traditional elements like serenaders, the carnival queen, the philharmonic band, and majorettes. There will also be many themed groups with creative topics inspired by politics, technology, and pop culture. Some standout floats include ‘Parliamentary Elections,’ ‘In the Age of AI-Eye,’ ‘Five-Star Prisons of Cyprus,’ and ‘Limassol SOARS,’ all promising sharp humor and current events.
The parade kicks off at 13:00 from the Agios Nikolaos roundabout. The order of the lineup was decided by a draw on February 8. Thousands of visitors are expected in the city, and dining spots on Makarios Avenue are already mostly booked. This shows that Limassol will once again enjoy a year of fun and celebration.
