A serious incident took place on Friday night in the Agia Fyla area of Limassol, leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old suspect.
According to police, information about a clash outside a residence was received at around 21:35, and Limassol CID officers responded immediately.
Preliminary findings indicate that about seven young individuals, wearing hoods and carrying weapons, allegedly forced their way into a house where foreign nationals live and attempted to attack them.
The residents reacted, pushed the group out of the house and restrained one person. During an alleged attempt to re-enter, damage was caused to two windows.
Before police arrived, the remaining individuals fled. A 20-year-old from Nicosia was arrested under court warrant and placed in custody, with a six-day detention order also secured. Investigations continue to identify the rest of those involved.
