A woman reported physical violence to the Limassol Police. She claims her partner, a local MP, assaulted her during a trip abroad.
The Limassol MP attacked her while they were outside Cyprus. After returning home, she got medical checks and filed a police report. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department is looking into the case. However, parliamentary immunity is currently blocking the investigation.
Investigators plan to ask the Legal Service to lift parliamentary immunity, so they can continue their work. The Attorney General will also be updated on what happens next since the incident took place outside Cyprus. Police investigations are in full swing.
