Today in Skarinou, the Lions clubs of Cyprus and Greece delivered two mobile firefighting units. These units will help communities in the mountainous areas of Limassol and Larnaca.
The Lions say this initiative is part of their ongoing humanitarian efforts. It’s the second aid package sent after the deadly fires in the summer of 2025, when they provided essential supplies to those in need.
The mobile units will boost prevention and readiness in these communities. They will help respond faster and more effectively to fires and other natural disasters. The delivery was made by Panagiotis Synodinos, Governor of District 117B Northern Greece – Cyprus, and George Lakkotrypis, President of the Lions Natural Disasters Committee.
