Lottery Awards €9,000 for Electric Car Purchases

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announced that the lottery for the 4th call of the Electric Mobility Promotion Plan took place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 13:00. The process involved all categories of applications submitted to the Road Transport Department.

According to the ministry’s data, the total number of applications registered per category was 6,428 for category D5, 187 for category D7, 373 for category D8, 1,003 for category D9, and 513 for category D10.

Based on the Plan’s Guide, preliminary approvals will be sent to the first selected by lottery. Specifically, 380 approvals will be given in category D5, 40 in category D7, 40 in category D8, 50 in category D9, and 10 in category D10.

Budget Allocation – 520 Grants, €5.62 Million

The amount for the 4th call is €5,620,000, distributed across 520 grants as follows:

  • D5 – New private use zero-emission CO₂ vehicle:
    Grant of €9,000, 380 grants (total €3,420,000)
  • D7 – New zero-emission CO₂ vehicle for people with disabilities:
    Grant of €20,000, 40 grants (€800,000)
  • D8 – New vehicle for large families, zero-emission CO₂:
    Grant of €20,000, 40 grants (€800,000)
  • D9 – Used private use zero-emission CO₂ vehicle:
    Grant of €9,000, 50 grants (€450,000)
  • D10 – New electric vehicle category N1 (up to 3,500 kg):
    Grant of €15,000, 10 grants (€150,000)

The total number of grants amounts to 520.

Awardees Announced

The final ranking of beneficiaries per category is listed below. . All successful applicants will receive an electronic notification of preliminary approval at the email address they provided when submitting their application.

The ministry reminds applicants that they must settle any outstanding debts to the Tax Department and/or Social Insurance Services according to the provisions of the Guide (sections 7(i), 9.3(θ), 10.3(β)) to maintain their eligibility to participate in the Plan.

Applicants who did not receive preliminary approval are considered alternates. Their ranking will be published in a subsequent announcement. If beneficiaries do not proceed with implementation within the specified deadline, preliminary approvals will be transferred to a corresponding number of alternates per category.
