The wife of Paphos Mayor Phaedon Phaedonos, Louiza Andreou, has addressed recent rumors about her personal life. She firmly denies claims that she is a victim of domestic violence.
In a social media post, she categorically rejects allegations linked to someone using the name “Annie Alexui.” These claims include documents that are said to be hospital records related to a past incident involving violence with the Mayor and his wife.
“My family is facing a coordinated attack, likely aimed at hurting my husband politically. I regret having to speak out publicly to protect my family from lies and gossip. I want to make it clear that I don’t need protection or self-appointed guardians with hidden motives. Anyone who truly knows me—at work, in our extended family, or among friends—knows I am not a victim and have no fear. My husband and I have lived happily together for 20 years. He is a wonderful, dignified, and honest person, and I am very proud of him and the challenges he faces. I ask everyone to keep political games away from me and my family.”.
She describes this as a coordinated attack on her family, believing it aims to politically harm her husband. She explains that she felt the need to speak out publicly to shield her family from harmful and baseless comments, stating she does not require protection or outside help with agendas.
Louiza emphasizes that those who know her well understand she is not a victim and does not live in fear. She highlights their two decades of harmonious living with her husband. In conclusion, she expresses her support for Phaedon Phaedonos, calling him dignified and honest. She proudly stands by him and his struggles while asking for political games to stay away from her family.
