Police spokesperson Christodoulos Konsolos confirmed that they received a letter from Paphos Mayor Phaedon Phaedonos’ wife.
The letter clarifies recent developments in the case. It was sent through Mrs. Louiza Andreou’s lawyer and is now with the Police leadership for review.
The wife is asking for the immediate end of the investigation into her possible assault. She has set a specific timeframe and wants an official announcement about stopping the investigation. The Mayor had previously welcomed the investigation in a post. Mr. Konsolos noted that police investigations will continue until new evidence or an official decision is made. When asked about other cases, like the arrest of a police officer in Larnaca and allegations against Mr. Phaedonos by businessman Theodoros Aristodimou, he said the relevant Police department will look into it further.
