Mayambela Joins Omonia… Aris Announces Separation
Recent reports say Mayambela has made a deal with Omonia’s representatives.
This is a solid choice, as he spent the last 3.5 years with Aris Limassol.
He is the second new player after Odubajo. The Greens of Nicosia will get a left-back (to replace Kitsou) and a center-back (to replace Agouzoul).
Aris shared a statement on Thursday morning about the split with the player:
“Aris Limassol announces the mutual end of its cooperation with South African winger, Michlali Mayambela.
The 29-year-old footballer joined our team in summer 2022 and played a key role in the club’s historic wins. With Aris, Mayambela celebrated winning the Championship and the Super Cup, and took part in the Europa League group stages.
During his time with us, which lasted three and a half years, he made 125 appearances in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists.
Aris Limassol thanks Michlali Mayambela for his great contribution to the club and wishes him all the best in his future career.”
