The Ministry of Migration and International Protection has announced temporary emergency measures for third-country nationals outside Cyprus. This is due to the unstable situation in the Middle East and its effect on air travel to the Republic.
If you have a valid residence permit, you can enter the country until April 30, 2026. This applies if your three-month absence ended after February 28, 2026. Those with proof of a renewal application can also enter with their proof until the same date, as long as the application is pending or approved and the three-month absence ended after February 28, 2026.
Moreover, if you hold an entry permit valid from March 1 to March 31, 2026, you can enter the country until April 30, 2026. This is true no matter when the permit was originally set to expire. These measures are temporary and based on emergency needs. The Ministry will review them for possible extension based on future developments.
