The Holy Monastery of Kykkos is facing chaos after a fake “news” article spread online. It claims that monks found a cure for serious illnesses and are selling this “miracle” remedy online.
The article shows the Abbot of the Monastery in an interview about this so-called miraculous cure. It also includes AI-generated photos of him with doctors. These doctors, who are said to be from Cyprus, supposedly approached him after their patients in Larnaca were healed by the remedy.
The website shares the “recipe” for the medicine, which has various herbs and “testimonials” from people claiming they were healed after using it.
Christakis Efstathiou, a spokesperson for the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus, told that these claims are definitely false. He urged people to be careful and not get tricked. He mentioned that the Holy Monastery of Kykkos will release a statement later today to set the record straight.
