Jayden Montnor is feeling very positive about the upcoming match against Bolivia for the 2026 World Cup qualification playoffs.
The winger from Aris said the players know their roles, and Suriname has the skill and confidence to win. They are ready to face the challenge from Bolivia.
The 23-year-old pointed out that Suriname has many players in European leagues, which he thinks gives them a big edge. He believes their experience can really help in the important match on March 26, especially with Henk ten Cate as coach now.
He also mentioned that the team is training hard for the game and there is a strong belief in the locker room. “We are confident we can beat Bolivia. We will be at the World Cup, I am sure,” he said strongly.
The match between Bolivia and Suriname is part of the intercontinental playoff for the 2026 World Cup. The winner will move on to face Iraq for a chance to play in the World Cup on March 31. Montnor shared that he has watched games from both Bolivia and Iraq and believes they can handle their challenges.
“It would be the greatest moment in our football history. This is a small country with fewer than 700,000 people. It’s not something that happens every day. It would be incredible,” said the star of the “Light Brigade.”
