A shocking case in Limassol has been uncovered by the Police, involving a mother and her seven-year-old child.
Reports say the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon when the father found them unconscious at home. At first, he thought they were just sleeping. But when he realized they weren’t responding, he quickly called an ambulance. Both were taken to a private hospital, where doctors found sedatives in their systems and gave them proper care. The hospital notified the Police, who started an investigation and took statements.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the mother had given the pills to her child. Doctors treated them and managed to revive both the mother and child. Authorities found out that the mother had given the pills to her child. The Police were informed and arrested the woman. She was then evaluated by a government psychiatrist, who decided she needed to be hospitalized. By court order, she was moved to Athalassa Hospital. The Limassol Crime Detection Department is investigating the case.
