Lambros Kallenos, the young hero of Cyprus, bravely battled his illness. Sadly, he did not survive, leaving behind his family and loved ones. His mother, Christina, shares heartfelt words on World Childhood and Adolescent Cancer Day – and we say, respect.

His bright smile, his hopeful drawings, and the special moments shared with the lucky ones… these will never be forgotten. Cyprus loved Lambros and his family, sharing their joy and pain, keeping his memory alive through every smile, drawing, and memory.
Lambros didn’t truly leave us. He lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew him and those inspired by his strength and love. A child who became a light and memory for us all.
Today is not just a day. It is memory. It is love. It is light. We know this too… For all the children who fought. For those who continue. For those who became angels. My Lambros… always in my heart.
Let’s remember that Lambros’s last work, “The Journey to the Sunset,” was finished just days before he began his journey into the light. This piece left a mark of love and creativity that will stay in our hearts forever. It also contributed to the charitable dinner of KEVE – Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, celebrating its 95th anniversary.
