Recently, it came to light that Aris is interested in Neftchi Baku’s winger, Murad Mammadov.
The 19-year-old Azerbaijani U21 player is also on the radar of Hungarian Ferencváros and two other European clubs.
Mammadov himself would like to try his luck abroad. But one thing might keep him at Neftchi: a pay raise.
The Baku club is talking with him about extending his contract, which ends at the season’s close. For now, Mammadov is asking for a higher salary.
So, whether he stays at Neftchi or moves to a foreign team, like Aris or another club, will be clearer by the end of the season.
