The Cyprus Shipping Agents Association has announced that Mr. Riginos Tsanos, CEO of Lavar Shipping Ltd, is the new President of the Board. The Electoral General Assembly was held on December 2 at the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
After his election, Mr. Tsanos gave a speech with a clear and positive message for the future of the Association. He stressed that he will work closely with the new Board and Management to tackle issues facing shipping agents, the port industry, and Cypriot shipping overall.
He also pointed out the sector’s energy and great potential. Cyprus has everything it needs to strengthen its role as a key hub in the Eastern Mediterranean. This includes serving ships, cargo, and passengers, which greatly benefits the country’s economy, connectivity, and global presence.
The new President mentioned that the Association will keep being a responsible and constructive partner with the government, relevant ministries, and all stakeholders. The aim is to effectively promote Cyprus’s shipping and port industry’s shared strategic goals.
