Emotional moments filled the Annual General Assembly of the Football Club Veterans of Nicosia, where people were recognized for their important contributions to sports and society.
The club honored journalist and sportswriter Doros Nikolaou for his long-time support of Cypriot football. Former Mayor of Strovolos Andreas Papacharalambous was also recognized for his ongoing support of the club and his role in developing sports.
The club thanked its longtime sponsors, honoring Yiotis Dimitriou of ONE LIGHT, Kostakis Sofroniou of Sofroniou Electronics, and George Petrou of Alambra Dairies for their valuable support over the years.
The awards were given in a warm setting, with attendees applauding the honorees during an evening celebrating contribution, consistency, and respect for those who have supported the Football Club Veterans of Nicosia.
After the Assembly, a dinner followed with the traditional cutting of the New Year’s cake, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere.
Folk singer Periklis added a special touch to the evening, while veteran footballers like Lefteris Eleftheriou, Kostas Kapsos, and George Papoutsos sang, bringing joy and nostalgia.
