Omonia will be without Francis Uzoho for a while. The Nigerian goalkeeper is with his national team for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Even though he’s with the ‘Super Eagles’, Omonia won’t get any money from it. Right now, there’s no compensation for his participation in the tournament.
This means the ‘greens’ are missing one of their key players for several important matches. They already played without Uzoho against Rakow, and he’ll also miss today’s game against Ethnikos Achnas. How long he’ll be gone depends on how far Nigeria goes in the tournament.
In short, Omonia has to cope with Uzoho’s absence for a while, and they won’t get any financial help, making things even tougher for their plans.
