OMONOIA wrapped up its 2025 season in style, beating Ethnikos Achnas 4-0. This victory sent strong signals all around. The team is back on track, just one point behind the leaders, and their hopes are alive for the future. It also puts pressure on Pafos FC, which has one game less to play.
The score came from four different players: Panayiotou kicked things off with a fantastic solo goal. Semedo and Jovetic scored the second and fourth goals from penalties, while Tankovic headed in the third.
From the start, OMONOIA showed they meant business. Coach Henning Berg used all the team’s attacking options to set the pace. However, in the first half, there were some gaps in midfield defense. Fabiano stepped up with key saves on two occasions. These issues are noted by the coaching staff, who need to find a balance between offense and defense.
In the second half, the team looked much better. They shut down the opponent, upped their game, and scored three more goals. The result brought smiles in the ‘green’ camp, and everyone is excited about the positive signs from the second half while knowing there’s still room to grow.
After this win, players can take a break and enjoy time with their families. Training will kick off again on December 28th, as they prepare for away games starting with Akritas Chlorakas.
