Another victory-statement is needed
The players of Apollon return to Kolossi after a three-day break granted by the coaching staff of the “blue and whites.”
With the return to training on Tuesday (18/11), the preparation for the home derby against Omonia essentially begins.
This is a derby that the Limassol team must win for many reasons—competitive, ranking, and psychological.
Even though they face the league leaders and the most in-form team, they must replicate what they achieved against Paphos at “Stelios Kyriakidis.”
They need to secure a victory that will be a true statement victory, demonstrating that Apollon is capable of much more than it has shown so far on the field, and that it deserves more points than it has accumulated to date.
Regarding the injured Malekkidis, Gaspar, Marques, and Weisbeck, they will undergo further evaluation to determine who can join the regular training program and be available for the coaching staff. Adonis’s absence is considered certain, while Duontou returns to the coach’s disposal after serving his suspension in the match against Ethnikos Achna.
