The 98th Academy Awards ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, offering dazzling appearances, powerful moments, and significant wins that are already being hotly discussed on social media.
The host of the evening, Conan O’Brien, opened the ceremony with humor and sharp remarks about the film industry, teasing among others Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The film One Battle After Another was the big winner of the night, taking home the Oscar for Best Picture. Its director, Paul Thomas Anderson, was also honored with the Best Director award, marking his first Oscar win.
The Oscar for Best Actor went to Michael B. Jordan for his performance in Sinners, while Jessie Buckley was awarded Best Actress for the film Hamnet.
